Happy Easter to all-Hope you are enjoying your time off.

Thanks to all Supervisors and staff for making the Queen of Surrey & Northern Adventure refit successful and to West Coasts standards (On time but over budget)!!

 

Refit Staff is NOT required to fill out daily time sheets.

All Refit supervisors (listed on each day in bold)- will fill out a progress report for staff and at the end of each day send or give to CANDICE.

Refit Supervisors will or may ask each individual staff what duties completed each day. Supervisors will also note any late/ absentee staff/ performance & any delays or obstructions.

Again, ALL staff required to check in on time for scheduled shift. FMU-Container/  Other work sites Cafeteria onboard vessel at scheduled time.

Supervisors will let staff know when it is time for breaks /lunches and at the end of the day.

Advise supervisor if you need to leave vessel for any reason and when you have returned to vessel.

All staff late need to advise their Supervisor and fill out form-to be submitted on your break or lunch and by the end of the day.

Staff are required to have ALL Personal protection everyday. Steel toes-Hard Hat, Safety Glasses & Hi Viz apparel at all times.

West Coast WILL NOT SUPPLY staff with safety glasses anymore. If you do not have your PPE -you will be send home, written up and possibly terminated if this happens frequently.

If you are sick-advise your Supervisor-Fill out form along with mandatory doctor’s note-To be submitted prior to returning to work.

It is staffs responsibility to advise your Supervisor prior to 6pm if you are able to work the next day or not.

If you miss days, your schedule will be reset to reflect as days off and you will be required to work 5 shifts in a row.

 

If you are working at FMU & your name is in BOLD BLUE for that day you are required 20-25 minutes prior the end of your shift to do the following (As Requested by a West Coast staff member):

Empty all garbage cans inside & outside of container (2 in office container-1 in staff container & 2 large garbage cans outside) Replace with garbage bag and take garbage to main garbage container.

Any cardboard goes in the main cardboard bin.

Outside area to be free of garbage on the ground and swept if needed.

Outside area wipe down table ledge and chairs.

Office & staff containers

All food waste, cups, plates from containers to be thrown out.

Floors swept of vacuumed if needed. (plug in from outside main box only)

Wipe doors, handles, microwaves and fridges.

All Supervisors-Ensure your supply room is kept tidy at all times.

Everyone remember due to BC Ferries schedule- as always the schedules will change.
