Hello Everyone,

Just a heads up in regards to union dues. As you all know the dues come off every second pay and have been for 4 weeks of hours. Unfortunately, most months have more than 4 weeks in them and after a year of the remittance being done like this we find that we are a month behind – ie February dues remitted were actually for January hours. The Union has asked us to correct this by doing 6 week remittance for the next two that we send in. This will correct the skew on the hours for the correct months.

What this means for you….

You are still paying the same amount per hour worked in union dues however the amount may be a bit higher as it is for a 6 week period rather than a 4 week period for the next two remittances.

Moving forward a 6 week remittance will happen twice a year in June and December.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thanks for your understanding 😊
